Dentressangle and House of Fraser achieve Gold Safety Standard


House
of Fraser’s national e-fulfilment operation in Milton Keynes, managed by Norbert Dentressangle, has been awarded RoSPA’s prestigious Gold award.Having made its first ever application for a
RoSPA award in 2013 and achieving an impressive Silver, the Health and Safety
team have since introduced a range of new initiatives designed to further
improve the site’s safety performance, with a particular focus on hazard
reporting. Colleague engagement and education have also been addressed
through Q&A sessions and the communication of key health and safety
information through a range of media and channels including video, RSS feeds
and the site’s internal TV network.As a
result, the site achieved zero RIDDORS in 2013 and has recorded almost 600 days
since the last reportable incident.The
operation has also recently been shortlisted in the Warehouse
Operations category of the Chartered Institute of Logistics’ Annual Awards
for Excellence and in two categories of the European Supply Chain Excellence
Awards (E-Fulfilment and Retail and E-tail).

Norbert
Dentressangle was appointed to manage House of Fraser’s dedicated e-commerce
warehouse in Milton Keynes in early 2012.Since
then, the two companies have worked in partnership to develop a joint culture
within the fulfilment centre to support House of Fraser’s vision to “be the
premium department store of choice and make every customer feel like a VIP”, in
tandem with building the capability to manage massive growth in online
