The new board members join representatives from brands including Avon, Usborne Publishing and Amway, to serve as an advisory panel for the Direct Selling Association’s work to encourage industry best practice and promote more widespread adoption of industry Codes of Conduct.

The new Direct Selling Association board appointments are:

  • New Chair: Cliff Jones, Sales Director, The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan
  • New Vice Chair: Sofia Radomska, Managing Director, Oriflame Cosmetics
  • Louise White, UK Market Director, The Body Shop
  • Amanda Sly, UK Country Manager, AquaSource
  • Ayo Olaseinde, Global President of Saladmaster
  • Lars Tewes, Director, Clean Living International
  • Marc Jordon, Operations Director UK & Poland, Arbonne
  • Oleksandra Eichhorn, Director of Sales, DACH & UK, Kyäni

Susannah Schofield OBE, Director General of the Direct Selling Association comments: “I am delighted to welcome our new Chair, Vice Chair, and Board members, who each bring considerable and varied experience from different areas business and retail.  I very much look forward to working alongside them to drive forward standards and guide the future of direct-to-consumer retail here in the UK.

“The coming months and years will be a critical time for the sector, which saw significant growth through the pandemic. One area that we will be giving considerable focus to over the coming months is the growing risk posed by the rise of rogue players and fraudulent schemes attempting to operate under the guise of legitimate direct selling businesses and taking advantage of people looking to earn much-needed additional income as the cost of living crisis bites.

“We are working hard to raise awareness of these risks and are calling on government to act to ensure that adherence to industry Codes of Conduct is not optional, as it is now, but mandatory.”
