Dixons Carphone has promoted Mark Allsop, its current chief digital officer, to the position of chief operating officer effective from May. Allsop replaces Alan Ritchie who will leave the business in June. It has also named Ed Connolly as its chief commercial officer. Connolly, who will succeed Steve Ager who departs in June, was previously director of partnership strategy at John Lewis.
CEO Alex Baldock commented: “I am delighted to welcome Ed to Dixons Carphone as chief commercial officer. Adding: “I am pleased to be bringing our stores, contact centres and online business together under Mark Allsop’s leadership is his role as chief operating officer. This will enable us to become truly omnichannel and deliver a seamlessly integrated store and digital experience.”
