Like for like online sales grew by 34.9 per cent at Dunelm to reach £35.7 million for the quarter to September 28th, with store sales up by 2.9 per cent year on year. The homewares retailer said that it was benefiting from new store openings, an online push and organic growth.
“Our customers continue to respond well to our specialist product and service offering and we are excited by the numerous opportunities ahead of us,” said CEO Nick Wilkinson. “Despite the recent softness in the homeware market and the increased political uncertainty, we are confident we can continue to win market share and our expectations for the full year remain unchanged.”
The business is continuing to test its new digital platform with a limited number of customers, anticipating that the new improved site will be live prior to Christmas.
