easyShop, the online marketplace launched this month by the easy family of brands, has added Klarna at checkout in 19 of its 21 European markets, including the UK.
Shoppers can choose from three Klarna options, all interest free:
- Pay in Full, paying upfront
- Pay in 3, splitting a purchase into three payments
- Pay in 30, paying 30 days later
Options vary by country and are subject to eligibility. Klarna is not yet available on easyShop in Hungary or Slovakia.
First peak trading period
easyShop opened across 21 European countries on 13 October and is preparing for its first Black Friday and Christmas. It is a pure marketplace: it holds no stock, sells no own-label products and does not compete with the retailers selling through it. Sellers can trade into any of the 21 markets from one account, with VAT calculated automatically.
The easyShop brand is owned and licensed by easyGroup, founded by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou. The marketplace is run by OnCommerce, which also operates OnBuy and is due to launch a UK electronics marketplace under the Comet name in November 2026.
Cas Paton, founder and chief executive of OnCommerce, said shoppers “want flexibility in how they pay” at Black Friday, and that adding Klarna would help sellers “capitalise on one of the biggest retail moments of the year”.
Alex Rohloff, Klarna’s interim country lead for the UK and Ireland, said: “One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to payments.”
