Jones the Bootmaker has been sold by administrators KMPG to Endless. The deal sees Endless take 72 stores but not the 25 under-performing stores or concessions. Around 840 jobs have been saved via the deal, leaving some 260 of the retailer’s former employees redundant. The shoe retailer was founded in 1857. Andrew Smith of Endless said “Jones is a well known and loved brand on the UK high street. We recognise that there is a lot of work to be done to transform the Company to secure long term stability for the business and its employees but we are delighted to be working with the team and can see opportunities for an exciting future.”
