Evans Cycles and Whistle lose CEOs

Autumn has heralded a raft of senior level departures with Nick Wilkinson leaving the CEO role at Evans Cycles, a position he had held since 2011. Wilkinson retains a stake in the business and his role will be handled by chairman Mike Tomkins until a replacement can be recruited. Meanwhile, over at Whistles which was acquired by the Fochini Group earlier this year, CEO Jane Shepherdson has left the business after eight years. Her duties will be fulfilled by managing director Justin Hampshire along with creative director Nick Passmore and brand director Helen Williamson. Whistles posted annual sales of c£63 million in its most recently filed accounts and is understood to be returning profits in this current year. Over at Lidl, UK CEO Ronny Gottschlich has left the business and is being replaced by Christian Hartngel. Gottschlich had been in the role at the fastest owner grocery business in the UK  for six years and saw its annual sales rise to £4.7bn.
