Edinburgh Woollen Mill has acquired menswear business Berwin & Berwin out of administration. This brings all stock, concessions and rights to all of Berwin & Berwin’s brands under the control of EWM’s Formal Tailoring 1985 Ltd subsidiary.
Berwin & Berwin brands, Lambretta, Paul Costelloe and Baumler will now be stocked in EWM stores and a further five concessions opened. Berwin & Berwin had been the main supplier to Austin Reed and Jaeger , which EWM now also owns, and the deal will provide continuity of employment for Berwin & Berwin’s 800 staff.
