Farfetch has entered into an arrangement with the Chalhoub Group in order to achieve growth in the Middle East region. Farfetch already has some customers in the Middle East and will now open an office in Dubai in order to manage the launch of dedicated Arabic websites with an offering of a localised product selection. Chalhoub operates retail stores and, of these, three will become initial Farfetch partner boutiques with a view to adding more.
Jose Neves, founder and CEO of Farfetch, commenting on the development, said “As one of the largest luxury markets in the world, the Middle East is of great strategic importance to Farfetch.”
