The new owners of Farmison & Co has received the go-ahead to recommence operations following inspection from the Food Standards Agency. This means it has been able to prepare to commence trading this week from its Ripon shop premises which also provides a click & collect service for online orders. The business has re-recruited a number of former employees in readiness, as well as having re-established its supply chain.
As previously reported Farmison was acquired by a consortium led by Andy Clarke who is its new executive chairman. He commented: “I want to give a massive ‘thank you’ to the Farmison team who’ve acted with incredible speed to bring the business back to life – and, of course, to our farmers across Yorkshire and the North, who are determined to support the business.
“It will be some weeks before we have our full ranges back online, but we thank each and every one of the customers who’ve sent us messages of encouragement and support over the past few weeks.”
