Fashion-Enter lands funding for Welsh factory

Fashion-Enter, which bought the former Laura Ashley factory in Newtown, Mid Wales has been granted a CBILS loan from HSBC to support its business. Currently employing more than seventy skilled garment workers the business is producing garments for sale via ASOS and others. It now plans to launch an apprenticeship programme to ensure that skills are passed on to a new generation of staff.

Jenny Holloway, chief executive of Fashion-Enter said: “One of our principle motives behind expanding the business into Wales was to protect the jobs of so many highly skilled workers. We couldn’t just say goodbye to people who have dedicated up to 40 years of their lives to the industry and local economy.”

Fashion-Enter joins a number of UK based garment manufacturers which are focused on producing quality ranges whilst ensuring that employees are fairly paid and enjoy high quality working conditions.
