FCI, a direct supplier of industrial connectors and interconnect
systems has implemented Sterling Commerce’s Multi-Channel
Selling software to extend its eCommerce capabilities to its
customers in Europe, the Asia Pacific region and the US.
The solution provides FCI with refined search, multilanguage and
e-catalogue capabilities that enable customers to find and order
the right products through a simple part-number search or a more
complex search term. FCI has rolled out the service in English,
Chinese and Japanese versions, with more languages to be added in
The suite also allows FCI to reward its best customers with
targeted added-value content and services. The company, whose
operations span 30 countries, has seen a 40 per cent increase in
the use of its e-catalogue since it implemented the solution.
Sixty per cent of its 1 million web visitors now use the service
to search across 94,000 connector products.
