Findel which operates Express Gifts has increased its fund for the reimbursement of insurance premiums paid by its customers which were linked to their spend on items from its Ace and Studio brands from January 2005 until May 2015. The insurance, which is no longer sold by the company, had covered customers for the accidental damage or theft of their purchased items as ‘Property Insurance’ or ‘Purchase Protection Insurance’. Findel has already refunded some £4.3 million and has now set aside £29 million in total which it says it will refund over the coming eighteen months.
