Firebox opens US website

Firebox has confirmed it is soft-launching into the US with a
dedicated website. The gadget retailer has been following the
American market for some time and the launched is been regarded
as a “learning exercise”, with the website in
“beta” mode until the New Year. Christian Robinson,
managing director of Ltd, said, “The US market
already accounts for a single figure percentage of the company’s
total revenues and we hope that this dedicated new US site will
grow this share. Judging from our website traffic data, customers
across the pond are just as interested in our products as the
domestic UK market, but until now the high cost of international
courier shipping has been holding them back. We’ve now removed
those barriers and although we’re not expecting overnight success
we’re committed to making Firebox as successful in the US market
as it is here in the UK.”

The company has appointed Sandbox Strategies to promote the
launch and emulate the success of the original launch strategy
use in the UK.
