Fit preference specialist Fits.me has further strengthened its position with the appointment of Mike Kimberley as Chief Technology Officer following its summer acquisition by Rakuten, Inc. In a move to ensure Fits.me’s rapid post-Rakuten expansion, Kimberley, who will report directly to CEO Stuart Simms, has been appointed to drive the development of its recommendation tools and ensure all product progress is aligned to the overall strategy and growth and global ambitions of the business.
Previously at Play.com, also owned by Rakuten, Inc., Kimberley brings with him a wealth of experience following a long career in development and technology, including roles at Enron, Arthur Andersen and The Financial Times. Fits.me is set to increase rapidly in scale following its recent integration with Rakuten Ichiba – the world’s second largest market place – plus numerous client wins including Hawes & Curtis and Thomas Pink.
