The Extreme Sports Company, a brand management firm behind the
Extreme Sports Channel, has put its ecommerce shop Extremepie.com
on the market. The decision comes after a six-month review that
concluded the business should focus solely on its licensing
activities.
Chief executive Al Gosling says that “as long as we can
find the right buyers and agree the right valuations, we are
looking to sell a number of our operational companies to allow us
to focus on our new strategy.” Gosling added that he would
consider a full sale of Extremepie’s assets, or more likely, a
licensing deal that sees the Extreme Sports Company continue to
support Extremepie with creative services, media reach and
marketing support. On 22nd June, Gosling confirmed there were
seven interested parties from the UK and mainland Europe, and
that he had received four official offer letters to acquire the
business with a long-term licensing deal.
