Fortnum & Mason has started delivering its renowned hampers to customers in the EU again after a two year hiatus. It had stopped the service, much to the dismay of customers wanting to send its prestigious hamper gifts to relatives, friends and business contacts in the EU, due to the complexities of exporting food product from the UK into the region.
A hub in Belgium has been set up by iForce to fulfil the EU orders for its primarily UK made stock. This says Fortnum & Mason involves it exporting products to itself in Belgium for the onward fulfilment of EU orders to individual customers.
