Frasers Group now holds over 26 per cent of the shares in Boohoo which has had a difficult trading period. With competition from the likes of Shein and Temu ‘eating its lunch’, the online fast fashion business is clearly struggling with rising losses in what has become cut-throat market.
Market watchers are suggesting that it is only a matter of time before Frasers Group makes its longer-term intentions with Boohoo clear and that it is not entirely out of the question that a deal with Shein is tabled.
