Frasers Group has acquired a building in the centre of Cardiff which is currently occupied by Next. The lease generates annual rent of around £1.5m a year and expires in 2027. It is being suggested that Next could well be interested in relocating to the former Debenhams store which occupied 165,000 sq.ft. in St Davids. This could then pave the way for Frasers to consolidate its retail operations in the Welsh capital into the building.
