Freemans.com has reported 100 per cent growth from its third-party marketplace as it sets its sights on expanding the platform to almost 300 brands.
The digital department store officially launched its Marketplace earlier this year, following a softer launch in autumn 2025. Designed to complement Freemans’ own-bought ranges, it now features 150 brands across categories including fashion, footwear, beauty, gifts, technology, home and garden.
Freemans plans to add a further 120 brands next year, taking the total close to 300. New names joining for AW26 include Moda in Pelle, Draper Tools, Startrite Footwear and The Baird Group brands Ted Baker, Antique Rogue and Limehouse, alongside Time Products.
The expansion follows the addition of footwear brands including Kurt Geiger, Carvela and Dune earlier this year. Collectively, the new brands will add more than 22,000 third-party products to Freemans.com.
The retailer is now particularly looking to strengthen its marketplace offer across menswear, home, electricals and beauty and wellbeing.
Ann Steer, CEO of Freemans.com, said: “We are moving at pace to deliver the very best digital department store offer in the UK. A blend of exclusive own-bought ranges, complemented by an edited third-party marketplace offer, underpins this ambition, coupled with a single-minded focus on shoppers over 40.”
Freemans is also partnering with marketplace solutions provider Pentagon to host a breakfast briefing on 17 September, where Chief Merchandising Officer Susie Calvert and Head of Marketplace Steve Harrison will outline the retailer’s growth strategy and opportunities for third-party brands.
