Freestyle Xtreme which sells action sports clothing online via 20 international websites serving 60 countries has implemented a cloud based warehouse management solution from Snapfulfil. The business has enjoyed rapid growth over the past year and had outgrown its previous WMS solution. Operating from a 15,000 sq.ft. warehouse in the Bristol area, it stocks approximately 30,000 SKUs and is typically handling around 800 orders every day. This figure can more than double in the run up to peak.
With the new solution, productivity has improved along with accuracy. Freestyle Xtreme’s director Ben Richardson said: “Our needs had grown beyond what the old system could handle and the warehouse had become a ‘black hole’ for inventory with little visibility of stock once it was received. Due to the lack of process, we also relied heavily upon the experience of our people to know how to work around the limitations of the old systems and it was taking a good couple of months for new people to get fully up to speed, creating a lot of room for errors.”
