French Connection which has been trying to secure a buyer for its chain for the past year has not been successful and has withdrawn it from the market. It will now pour its energies into seeking cost reductions across its operations which will, it is expected, result in further store closures. The business has warned that it can expect a pre-tax loss of up to £2 million for the year to January 31st as it had experienced tough trading conditions in its final quarter.
