Gear4music strikes a gloomy note

Online music equipment retailer Gear4music has reported on its half-year to 30 Sep 2023. Total revenues, at £62.6m, were down by 6 per cent on the same period last year and the business says that its full-year outlook remains in line with market expectations of £161.7m revenues and a pre-tax profit of £1.2m.

CEO Andrew Wass said: “We have continued to make good progress with our strategic objectives in what we anticipated would be challenging market conditions. We are pleased to have achieved growth in the UK, whilst our European markets have been impacted by lower consumer demand.”
