Go Instore partners with Brompton Bicycle to launch Brompton Live In-Store Expert

Go Instore has partnered with Brompton Bicycle to launch the Live In-Store Expert feature to match Brompton Junction product experts with online customers using the immersive HD live video platform.

The Live In-Store Expert feature empowers Brompton Junction staff with the ability to work safely from the store during the COVID-19 pandemic and assist online customers, give product demonstrations and provide expert advice to customers from the comfort of the customer’s homes.

With strict social distancing measures in place, reduced public transport and government advice advising minimal travel where possible, many people are purchasing bikes which has triggered a ‘bicycle boom’ during lockdown. Brompton has experienced an increased online demand and has responded by launching the Live In-Store Expert feature to provide the personal, tailored advice that Brompton is known for, to every online customer directly from the showroom.

Go Instore’s video first platform has been adopted by some of the world’s biggest brands and they have seen a 90 per cent increase of Go Instore sessions across the UK, Europe, Asia & United States since the pandemic. Go Instore is rapidly deploying the technology to a number of clients to provide safe working environments for staff, enabling them to work from home, with a select few from stores adhering to strict social distancing and will support the gradual re-opening of stores across the world.

Go Instore is being used not only as a direct response to the crisis, but also to support the gradual re-opening of stores and future retail strategy. As consumer demand continues to increase for virtual experiences, the solution can offer the same experience to those choosing not to visit stores, still isolating or are unable to for any reason.

“We are excited to partner with Brompton Bicycle and power the Live In-Store Expert feature, supporting the Brompton Junction staff to work safely from the store and provide online customers with the tailored customer service that Brompton Bicycle is renowned for,”  said Andre Hordagoda, co-founder and CEO of Go Instore. “Brompton is an excellent example of retailers adapting to this new way of living and shopping. Online purchasing hasn’t paused, it has increased, and retail needs to continue to adapt to keep commerce going and keep their staff working safely. This isn’t just the short-term solution for retail, it is the future.”
