Green Sheep Group has secured a £1m funding package to take its nusery brand Snuz to the US market. The funding will enable the business to invest £250,000 in dedicated stock which will be held in the US to ensure that it can swiftly ship product to American customers.

Green Sheep Group has more than tripled its sales over the past four years to reach £16m and currently has customers in the UK, Europe, Australia and the UAE. It leverages digital and social platforms, selling primarily online. It will deploy direct-to-consumer channels in the US whilst also building sales through major retailers and upscale independents.

Green Sheep Group director Paul Maurice commented: “Although there is strong competition, the US market for bedside cribs is still relatively new, similar to the UK market four years ago. Therefore, we see this as an ideal time to enter the market and become one of the industry pioneers and leaders.”

The business recently received the King’s Award.
