Halfords appoints chief executive

David Wild has been named chief executive at automotive and
leisure products retailer Halfords. Currently senior vice
president for new business development at Wal-Mart US, Wild takes
up his new post on 4th August. Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Wild
spent 18 years at Tesco, latterly as group supply chain director.
