Jill McDonald who has been chief executive at Halfords for the past 2 years has accepted the offer of a role at Marks and Spencer. McDonald will start in her new post of managing director of the Clothing, Home & Beauty division at Marks and Spencer in the Autumn where she will report directly to CEO Steve Rowe.
Halfords has commenced a search for her replacement. “We are grateful to Jill for the positive impact she made across the business. She will leave Halfords with a strong team and a clear strategy to drive future growth,” commented Dennis Millard for the Halfords board.
