News UK has announced its acquisition of online retail
business and ECMOD Direct Commerce Awards winner Handpicked Companies
Ltd.. The Handpicked team, now headed by CEO Will Miller,
will continue to develop its direct business and will now also benefit from
access to the readership of The Times and The Sunday Times. Research conducted for News UK showed that 1.1 million of its readers bought
online or from a catalogue in the past year and the media business will now
leverage the skills of the Handpicked team to develop its reader offers
revenues.
