HelloFresh is planning on cutting out one of its sites to move to a two-site operation which it says will help reduce waste and emissions whilst offering its customers a better service.
The site it has earmarked for closure is located in Nuneaton and has 900 staff with whom a consultation process has commenced. Affected employees will, says HelloFresh, be offered roles at its Derby and Banbury sites but the feasibility of relocating is being questioned given that many are on low pay.
Berlin-headquartered HelloFresh is also understood to be offering incentives to staff who will stay with the business in Nuneaton until its planned closure in mid-2025.
