HMV has confirmed that three stores will be closing this month and that new tenants are poised to move into them. Further, it says that it may well close up to ten more unless it can agree new terms with landlords. It is also relocating two stores. The business has said in a statement that some stores were no longer viable due to what is described as extortionate rents.
