Home Bargains stumps up £30m support fund for workers

TJ Morris which operates the national discount variety chain Home Bargains has pledged to support its staff through the current Covid-19 crisis via a £30 million fund. This will provide all workers having to self-isolate or who are high risk groups with continuity of income. The business which sells food as part of its mix is also establishing dedicated shopping time for the elderly and vulnerable.

The retailer had tweeted its messages and received a positive response from more than 40,000 customers with one saying “When things are back to normal and I’m choosing where to shop, I’ll be remembering the companies that looked after their workers during this crisis.”
