Homebase has reached an agreement with administrators BDO to acquire 44 Bathstore outlets and to take on 154 employees. The remaining Bathstore locations will trade for a few weeks until remaining display stock is sold. Homebase plans to continue to trade the newly acquired stores as well as to open Bathstore concessions within its larger stores.
“In a difficult situation, we have been able to secure the future of the Bathstore brand and the transfer of 44 stores to Homebase to maximise realisations for creditors and protect as many jobs as possible,” said Ryan Grant, BDO business restructuring partner.
