Toy and model-maker Hornby has fallen into the red and
scrapped its full-year dividend after a “challenging” year. The model
railway specialist posted an 11 percent decline in turnover, from £64.4 million
in 2012 to £57.4 million for the year ended 31st March 2013. The company blamed
underperforming sales of London 2012 merchandise for the decline, which
although totalling just short of £5 million produced an overall loss of £1.3
million.
