House of Fraser announced record sales of £1.2 billion in
the year to 26th January 2013-an increase of 3.3 percent, with growth in all
categories. Online sales soared 53 percent during the period, now accounting
for 10.9 percent of total sales. The department-store chain also recorded its
highest-ever gross profit of £403.8 million, while adjusted EBITDA was up 4.3
percent to £61.1 million. Strong momentum continued into the new financial
year, with like-for-like sales for the first 13 weeks to 27th April up 4.8
percent.
