House of Fraser which is owned by Chinese group Sanpower has promoted Nigel Oddy to the position of chief executive. Oddy who has served as chief operating officer will replace John King who is stepping down. The department store chain is poised to open new stores in China and the Middle East as part of an ambitious expansion of the business.
Promotions have also been announced for Andy Harding who will now be chief customer officer (from multichannel director), Peter Gross will step up to replace Nigel Oddy as chief operating officer and logistics director Tony Carr has been promoted to the role of executive director of international development and logistics.
