Howarth Timber & Building supplies which was founded in 1840 has acquired a competitor. The acquisition of Doncaster based Maltings Timber Merchants which posted sales of £72 million for the year to 31 March 2015 brings Howarth’s number of outlets up to 30, plus its online store. Managing Director Nicholas Howarth commented, “Maltings Timber Merchants is a successful business with standards and values that match up with those of Howarth Timber.”
