Fair trade furniture specialist Myakka has been acquired by Devon based Ian Snow Ltd which also offers ethical homewares. Georgie Hopkins and Simon Whitehead founded Myakka in 1999 and had operated the catalogue producing and online direct to consumer business from premises in Wincanton, Somerset which also housed a showroom. All members of the Somerset based team have been made redundant.
Buyer Ian Snow Ltd was founded forty years ago and is now run by the founder’s daughters Daisy and India.
