InPost exercises option to fully acquire Menzies

InPost has exercised its option and acquired the remaining stake in Menzies Distribution Limited (Menzies), giving InPost full control of both Menzies Distribution express delivery and newstrade operations. This builds on the exclusive logistics partnership with Menzies Distribution, which launched in 2023 when InPost became a minority shareholder in the business. T

The transaction will enable InPost to scale at speed in the UK to match increasing consumer demand – serving the largest eCommerce market in Europe. Inpost will now accelerate its plans for implementation of new services in the UK market, including, the next-day B2C parcel locker service, Collect, that allows eCommerce retailers to offer delivery to over 8,000 InPost Lockers.

InPost operates tens of thousands of parcel delivery lockers across Europe and is headquartered in Luxembourg. Menzies employs about 5,000 people, provides newspaper distribution, business-to-business final mile delivery, and other transportation and warehousing services. It was sold by its parent company to Endless for £74.5m less than five years ago.
