Online retailer Marks Electrical has announced its plans to float on AIM. The business enjoyed very strong growth in the year to March ’21, posting sales of £56 million with pre-tax profits of £7.1 million. The business operates its own delivery fleet and provides customers with installation and old appliance removal and recycling services. Founded by its CEO Mark Smithson the business is currently family owned. Smithson commented: “I am delighted to announce out intention to list on AIM. This is an important step in our growth journey to scale the business and deliver premium electrical items to the growing number of consumers buying electricals online. We see significant opportunities to continue to grow our market share, improve our brand awareness and further build on our strong trading momentum.”
