Irish online retailer secures investment

Earlier this month Irish prime minister Enda Kenny opened the new headquarters of Irish online retailer Micks Garage, following a
€2.3 million investment.

MicksGarage.com, which sells car parts and auto accessories online, was founded by brothers Michael and Ciaran Crean in 2004.
This latest expansion sees the company move into a 32,000 sqft facility and embark on a recruitment drive to grow its 34-strong
team. In total, MicksGarage expects to create 65 new jobs for web developers, web designers, PPC online marketers and customer
service operatives.

The €2.3 million investment was made by the Ulster Bank Diageo Venture Fund managed by NCB Ventures, the AIB Seed Capital
Fund managed by Dublin BIC and private investors. It will fund an ambitious expansion of the business including the rollout of
localised MicksGarage websites for nine European markets including France, Germany and Sweden. It has further plans to extend its eCommerce reach by launching an Australian website in due course.
