After a major expansion project, a new warehouse was officially opened on 17th January by Wayne Lysaght-Mason, Managing Director, for direct business to business brands IronmongeryDirect and ElectricalDirect with Xavier Guichard, Chief Executive Officer of parent company Manutan Group.
The new 100,000 sq ft warehouse will stock over 30,000 products for both brands and see the fulfilment and next day delivery of both brands’ orders come together under a single roof for greater efficiency. The new facility includes over 2000 pallet storage locations as well as an expanded contact centre and office space.
Commenting on the opening, managing director Wayne Lysaght-Mason said: “We took the decision to double the size of our warehouse in order to continue our 20 per cent year on year growth, cement our market-leading proposition and drive ambitious range extension. Whilst giving our sister brand ElectricalDirect a strong base for growth. As the same time, we have expanded our call centre, while all other departments have been moved into modern purpose-built office space.”
