Jack Wills which had sustained heavy losses connected with the outsourcing of its distribution and fulfilment operations has returned to profit. The business has posted a 4 per cent increase in its sales to £142.4 million for the year to January 27th 2017, with a profit of £730,000. Peter Williams, co-founder of Jack Wills returned to the business in 2015 to turn it around with the support of private equity firm Bluegem. It now has 71 UK stores as well as seven in the USA, eight in the Far East and one in Germany. There are plans to open a further ten stores during the current financial year.
