Evolving from a concession only store based business to an
omni-channel retailer required a new level of strategic thinking which JVG
solved by making new internal appointments tasked with the transition.
Key to this was harmonising the inventory, ensuring
availability and delivering the brand promise to trade and direct customers.
The JVG team chose to retain its incumbent Merrit platform, supported by Retail
Assist, for the PLM and buying function, merchandising and warehousing system
for logistics. To this a new ecommerce platform Demandware was implemented by
Tryzens. This left the challenge to “join it all up” and a decision was made to
find the best OMS platform to complete the solution. The team at JVG chose MNP
largely for its proven track record of supporting high volume order processing
for clients including highly successful multi-channel businesses which are
trading internationally, including Lakeland Limited, Isabella Oliver, LK
Bennett and Kurt Geiger. Its solution now receives orders from 9 concurrent
websites working from real time inventory and the JVG customer service team
uses it for ordering taking and customer service for all channels.
