According to reports the future for the Style Brands Group, which trades from 470 locations in the UK, Europe and Canada, is looking very uncertain. The business was formed when Jacques Vert and the Irisa Group merged and owns brands including Dash, Windsmoor, Eastex, Jacques Vert and Precis which are retailed primarily via concessions in department stores.
It is understood that the business has been trying to attract new investment following a period of very difficult trading but market watchers are saying that it (the group) would need to be restructured, certain of its brands culled, many concessions closed, and that any potential investor would likely wait for the business to enter administration before declaring any interest. KPMG which had been brought in during March to conduct a review of the business is likely to be appointed is administration proves to be the only option.
