Jaeger enters administration

Alix Partners has been appointed to manage the administration of Jaeger which will most likely see its 46 stores and 63 concessions close with the loss of around 700 jobs. A buyer had been sought for the entire business but proved difficult. It is understood and widely believed that Philip Day’s Edinburgh Woollen Mill is lined up to buy the brand IP but had no interest in taking on the stores.
