JD Sports appoints Chair

JD Sports Fashion Plc has announced that Andy Higginson has been appointed as chair of the group effective from July 11th.

Higginson is a highly experienced retailer and chair with over 28 years of continuous non-executive director experience on PLC boards, including senior leadership roles over nearly 15 years with Tesco. More recently he was chair of William Morrison Supermarkets plc from January 2015 through to its takeover by CD&R LLP in November 2021.
