JD Sports updates on FY23-24

JD Sports Fashion has issued a trading update for the year to February 3rd, ’24, revealing that its 2024 profit before tax and adjustment items is expected to be in line with the £915-935m guided range.

Q4 sales, on a constant currency, like-for-like basis, were up by 0.1 per cent, with full-year like-for-like sales up by 4.2 per cent. Total sales came in at £10.5bn.

The business had opened 215 new JD stores across the year.

Regis Schultz, CEO of JD Sports Fashion, said: “We achieved like-for-like sales growth of over 4 per cent, organic growth of over 8 per cent and our athleisure fascias achieved organic growth of over 10 per cent.

“Looking ahead, the current trading environment remains challenging due to less product innovation and elevated promotional activity, especially online.”
