Jigsaw grows sales, incurs losses

Robinson Webster, parent company of Jigsaw posted sales of £103.7 million for the year to 30th September ’17, up by 9.5 per cent. However, it incurred a pre-tax loss of £783,000 for the period as opposed to a £2.7 million profit for the prior year. It attributed the reversal of fortunes to a fall in UK like-for-like sales but had fared somewhat better internationally. It also grew its online sales by 45 per cent to £15.9 million, largely attributable to an increase in sales via the John Lewis website.
