Royal Mail has confirmed that it plans to cut some 700 management jobs as part of its restructuring process which will, it says, result in a better streamlined structure. The move will see Royal Mail save around £40m annually, once it has absorbed the costs of the exercise. It is now in consultation with unions about its proposals.
