John Lewis Partnership faces £40m bill


John Lewis Partnership, the owner of department store chain
John Lewis and supermarket chain Waitrose, is facing a £40 million bill for
back pay and other costs. The Daily Express says a member of staff helped
discover shortfalls in salaries, which means 69,000 of its 85,500 workforce
will now receive one-off payments.
